This pathfinder is here to help guide students in their efforts to gain insight into our world by traveling via the mind by reading.
Our Library contains many excellent resources print, non-print, fiction and non-fiction but there are also many wonderful resources that are available in electronic resources format; websites, databases, interactive books, CD-ROM software, audiobooks, etc. These should not be overlooked.
Materials were selected for Elementary school children grades K-5th to enable students to connent with our summer reading program. Resources were located through several different types of searches;
Websites were evaluated by their; authority, accuracy, objectivity, currency and coverage. A method established by Susan Beck, a collection development coordinator. I also looked for websites that were fun, inviting, and easy to navigate for children!
